Increased safety Motor

Increased safety motors are specially designed to maintain surface temperatures during normal operations or while starting operations. A maintained temperature avoids the possibility of arcs, sparks or heat, which could lead to an explosion while operating in an explosive environment. The increased safety motors from LHP are designed to operate in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 & Zone 22 and Gas groups I, IIA, IIB & IIC and are suitable for the temperature classes up to T6. We provide a wide range of increased safety motors in the efficiencies IE2, IE3 and IE4, which comply with IS/ IEC/ EN 60079-7 standards.

Crane and Hoist Duty Motors

Crane and hoist duty motors are most suitable for demanding applications where intermittent duty drives are required. These are duty-type rated motors, which require a high starting torque with a low starting current. Crane and hoist duty motors have to withstand frequent start-stops and reversal operations.

Brake Motors

When reliable and safe stoppage for a short duration is required, for example, in the packaging line, brake motors are used. In LHP brake motors, fail-safe type electromagnetic brakes are mounted on the rear-side end-shield of the motor. The brakes work on a DC supply and operate once the power supply is switched off. In LHP brake motors, rectifiers are mounted in the motor terminal box, which convert the AC power supply to DC for brake operations.

Flameproof Motors

Flame-proof motors are generally recommended where an explosive atmosphere prevails due to the presence of inflammable gases, dust or floating particles in the air. The construction of flame-proof motors is such that it prevents sparks from emitting outside the motor enclosure and thus, avoids contact with the outside explosive atmosphere. LHP offers a wide range of flame-proof motors in the efficiencies IE2, IE3 and IE4 and complies with the IS/ IEC/ EN 60079-1 standards. Flame-proof motors from LHP are designed to operate in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 and Gas groups I, IIA, IIB & IIC and are suitable for the temperature classes up to T6.

Non - Sparking Motors

Bharat bijlee has introduced non-sparking motor for use in hazardous area -zone 2(flammable gases and vapors atmosphere).

IE2 Motors

These are High Efficiency Motors and offer good power savings compared to conventional standard motors. The speciality lies in their construction because of the use of different materials. IE2 motors from LHP are developed in accordance with energy-saving guidelines from IEC (IEC/ EN 60034-30-1:2014) and approved by BIS as per the latest IS 12615. These work best in an industrial scenario where motors are not being operated continuously, but the company is looking for a cost-effective option that can save energy and reduce carbon footprint without significantly increasing investments.

IE3 Motors

These are also known as Premium Efficiency Motors, which offer slightly lesser power savings as compared to IE4 motors, but much higher savings compared to standard motors. IE3 motors from LHP are developed in accordance with energy-saving guidelines from IEC (IEC/ EN 60034-30-1:2014) and approved by BIS as per the latest IS 12615. These motors are suitable where power costs contribute significantly to the overall operational costs. IE3 motors operate approximately two efficiency bands above IE2 motors, which is equivalent to a 15% reduction in energy losses.

IE4 Motors

IE4 motors, also known as Super Premium Efficiency Motors, are built around standard 3-phase motors using special materials. They are suitable for a range of applications. IE4 motors from LHP are developed in accordance with energy-saving guidelines from IEC (IEC/ EN 60034-30-1:2014) and approved by BIS as per the latest IS 12615. By using IE4 motors from LHP, one can save significant energy, reduce operating costs and carbon emissions to meet the pollution norms. IE4 motors operate two efficiency bands above IE3 motors, which is equivalent to almost 20% reduction in energy losses. They are recommended where motors operate almost continuously at full load.

Cooling Tower Motor

Cooling Tower Motors are suitable for outdoor duty applications and 100% humid and chemical environments. They offer IP55 Protection to prevent water ingress, as well as anti-corrosive paint for enhanced life. Having a reliable bearing life L-10 for 100,000 hours, they can be operated on VVVF for energy saving between 30 to 50 Hz frequencies. The USP of LHP Cooling Tower Motors is that they can eliminate the need for a gear box, cooling system, shafts, couplings, and bearings, resulting in reduced costs and low maintenance.

Single Phase Motor

LHP has designed a considerable range of motors in single phase Capacitor Start Capacitor Run type to tackle your high torque requirement.
